Black Art Futures Fund is a collective of emerging philanthropists promoting the elevation and preservation of Black arts & culture. Through grant making, board-matching, and organization-to-donor cultivation, we seek to amplify and strengthen the future of Black art. Founded in 2017 by DéLana R.A. Dameron as a philanthropic initiative of Red Olive Creative Consulting, BAFF provides grants to small ($750K or less) nonprofit organizations working to enhance the future of Black arts & culture.

The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant program is intended to provide interim financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen, catastrophic incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation. This program has no deadlines. Apply here:

Artist Relief will distribute $5,000 grants to artists facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19; serve as an ongoing informational resource; and co-launch the COVID-19 Impact Survey for Artists and Creative Workers, designed by  Americans for the Arts, to better identify and address the needs of artists.

Alice Feeney is an 18-year-old multidisciplinary artist from the west of Scotland studying sculpture and environmental art at Glasgow School of Art.

“Some themes I like to explore are the aesthetics of horror, ideas around ugliness, the dichotomy of the natural and the artificial, and imagery associated with microbiology. During quarantine I have been getting back to basics by focusing on drawing and painting, while also learning how to spray-paint.”

“1. I made a lino print of my quarantine environment inside a polly pocket to communicate the feeling of being in lockdown.

2. I'm part of an immersive theatre project that began just as lockdown happened - so in order to introduce ourselves to the other members of the project we had to make a film to do so. Told through the perspective of my friends and family - Here is my response

3. I made a year book of all my housemates, upside down.

4. A poofy thing I found on one of my lockdown walks.

5. An animated collage of a man jumping into a bowl of soup, because why not.”

“Insomnia, a song I recorded in hotel rooms at night on tour. It wasn't meant to be an isolation track but people have been reacting strongly to this song since the quarantine. The Italian magazine Onda Rock called it "the perfect lockdown track." I shot the video footage in East Berlin -- an homage to Fassbinder and Wim Wenders.”

L.A. Musician Lola G. aka DEATH HAGS takes the listener on a journey through hypnotic electronics, psych and noise pop. Following the release of four singles in 2018/2019, including "Metal Teeth" on Burger Records and "Earthbound," recorded with Tomas Dolas (Oh Sees, Mr. Elevator), Death Hags toured the U.S. and Europe extensively, including appearances at SXSW, Pop Montreal and Night Owl Fest.  In December 2019, she released Vol. 1 of her seven-album multimedia project BIG GREY SUN, followed by vol. 2 in March 2020. Born after two days of hallucinations caused by a dog bite, BIG GREY SUN is a kaleidoscopic exploration of the human condition and its possible futures.
