“‘I Don’t Want to Go Outside Again’ was written a few weeks ago, and describes my experience so far during this pandemic. My anxiety has shifted from being afraid of life never going back to normal, to dreading the normalcy of what life was before returning.”

“My sister and I have taken isolation as an opportunity to finally launch our own brand/creative collective, Monozygotics. We make clothing from 100% reused fabrics and celebrate transparency, diversity, sustainability and individuality - hopefully the rest of the fashion industry will become more inclusive and ethical in time.”
Monozygotics launches June 2020.

“My work is mostly painting, where I am focusing on the subject matter of sentimentality and what a moment captures. I bring into question what depicts a home, a moment, a gesture, and whether these can be enhanced, rearranged or seen as purely fixed. I have created a series of paintings that explore these eclectic elements, showing fabrics, skin, clothing and folds, making them seem abstract and pushing the boundaries of the familiar and the dreamed.”

Corona Creature
I made my way up the hill past
The small cottage innocuous
With its trailing wisteria
A small sign by the blue door
“Blessings,” it said
“To all who enter here.”
Un-armored, my mask behind
The sun was bright on my back
I walked to outrun the invisible
“Bzzz,” the creature whispered
Crepitation in its wings
“Bzzz,” the sound grew louder
I walked on, shaking my head
Against the invisible threat
“Hello,” she called out
Bursting from the blessing door
“Hello,” she yelled. “I saw your notice.”
I paused, turning to see my pursuer
“Listen,” she spat.
“It’s time to open up.”
My response was irrelevant
Her door now shut
Trapped on my afternoon walk
“Bzzz,” the sound louder
Her words grew insistent
My words unheard
Against the rising wind
The creature snickered
She disappeared into her cottage
Behind her blessing door
I thought I heard her say, “Creep in,”
But I could not see what
Crossed her threshold
Remember Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones and how Anakin Skywalker hates sand ? What if I told you it is possible to take the stupidest dialogue of the entire Star Wars saga (and maybe one of the stupidest in history of cinema) and turn it into a song ? Well brace yourselves because Anakin Skywalker is releasing this soft and smooth SOULFUL tune about his hate for sand. Produced and recorded in Galactic City, Coruscant, at Jazz Republic Records studios in association with Soul Empire records & distribution.
